DESCRIPTION:Are you culturally Jewish but not religious?\nWould you like your children (or grandchildren) to connect with their Jewish identity?\nDo you have an intercultural family? \nSholem’s secular Sunday school engages children 4-17 years old in an exploration of Jewish identity\, history\, culture and traditions of social justice. \nClasses meet 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\nat Short Avenue Elementary School\n(12814 Maxella Ave\, Los Angeles\, CA 90066)\nmost Sunday mornings during the school year.\n \nAll prospective families are welcome to come check out a class.\nWe offer rolling admissions. \nClick here for more information about our school\nContact our principal Ross Helford ross@sholem.org\, so he may plan to greet you. \n\nThe Board of Directors of the Sholem Community will hold its annual meeting next Sunday\, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Short Avenue Elementary School. The main order of business is to elect 3 or more Directors.\nSheila McCoy\, Brian Reiff and Dan Savage have been nominated and additional Board members are needed. Any paid up member of the Sholem Community is eligible. \nTo pay for 2023-2024 membership CLICK HERE \nPlease send nominations to Hugo Furth\, Secretary at hsf@furth.us.\nNominations will be accepted on the 17th as well. \nThe Board will also hold an election for board officers. (Officers fulfill specific roles such as treasurer\, secretary\, etc.) \nThis meeting is open to all members of the community.
