SHOLEM’S ANNUAL MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH
featuring storyteller and comedian Vicki Juditz
Do you need a low-key way to celebrate Mother’s Day with your Sholem friends and family? Join us for a scrumptious spread, including bagels, cream cheese, and lox, with all the trimmings, herring in sour cream, a variety of delicious salads, all topped off with yummy sweets.
In keeping with our long-standing tradition of offering world class entertainment for mothers and others, Sholem is proud to host single mom, actor, comedian and spoken-word artist Vicki Juditz. She will share humorous and poignant tales from her own experience as a mom, from raising goldfish to surviving her daughter’s first boyfriend and the dreaded college road trip. Juditz has performed her original stories at theaters and festivals across the country, including the National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee, the Aspen LAFF Festival, and the Asolo Theater in Sarasota, Florida. Her story “Swing Dancing” aired on the PBS Moth Radio Hour and “Boca” was featured on KCRW’s UnFictional. TV audiences will remember her comic roles on Coach, Everybody Loves Raymond, and My Name is Earl. “Vicki Juditz is a born storyteller…what sets her writing, and her performance, apart is her sense of humor, and an eye for the incongruous and ridiculous.” LA Times
